Building Types Overview

Each building serves a specific purpose. Understanding when and where to build them is crucial for success.

Office Strategy

Offices are your primary source of income. Here's how to use them effectively:

Early Game

• Build your first office as soon as you have $50 and a safe blob
• Choose a blob that's not on the front lines
• One office is enough early on - focus on expansion first

Mid Game

• Upgrade existing offices to level 2 ($120) for 1.5x income
• Build 2-3 more offices as your territory expands
• Keep offices away from borders - losing them hurts your economy

Late Game

• Upgrade key offices to level 3 ($250) for maximum income
• Aim for 4-6 offices total, depending on map size
• Protect your offices with defenses if enemies get close

Barracks Efficiency

Barracks multiply your blob growth rate, making them essential for rapid expansion:

Growth Multipliers

• Level 1: 1.5x growth ($40)
• Level 2: 2.25x growth ($90)
• Level 3: 3.375x growth ($180)

Strategic Placement

Build barracks on:

• Front-line blobs that need rapid reinforcement

Defense Strategy

Defense buildings reduce incoming damage, making blobs much harder to capture:

When to Build Defense

• On blobs that border enemy territory
• At chokepoints that control map access
• On valuable blobs (with offices, facilities, or high connections)

Defense Levels

• Level 1: 15% damage reduction - good for minor threats
• Level 2: 27.75% damage reduction - strong defense
• Level 3: 38.6% damage reduction - nearly impenetrable

Facility & Nuke Management

Facilities enable nukes, the most powerful weapon in the game:

Facility Placement

• Build facilities on well-protected interior blobs
• You only need 1-2 facilities per game
• Protect facilities with defenses - losing them cuts off nuke access

Nuke Economics

• Nukes cost $250 - that's a level 3 office upgrade!
• Use nukes strategically: destroy key facilities, break stalemates, or eliminate threats
• Don't waste nukes on low-value targets
• Save nukes for critical moments when they can change the game

Money Management Tips

1. Early Game: Spend on expansion (barracks) and first office
2. Mid Game: Balance between office upgrades and defense
